Free zone
Enshrined in Law No. 15,921 of December 1987 stipulates that the free trade zones are isolated areas of the country, where economic activity is stimulated.
These special economic zones, enjoy customs exemptions, tax and fiscal policies.

In Uruguay's free trade zones can develop any type of commercial, industrial and services, including all types of transactions with the merchandise, whether their production, processing or changing its nature.
